Jailhouse Industry begins...

In 2000 a local artist noticed a log hewn smokehouse located in the village of Leipers Fork. With the owner's permission, this artisan initially used this building as a work studio. Soon this quaint historic log house became a widely recognized village landmark for curious onlookers.

During this time Larry Montgomery had developed a Western theme Sheriff, dressing in full character with hat, badge and gun. With talents and characters in place, Jailhouse Industrys was born. Artistic minds together, the idea of creating a jail with donated rebar was quickly created. Utilizing the jail as a showcase for artwork, Jailhouse Industrys also serves as a museum for both Civil War memorabilia and photography studio for tourists.
